This workshop will discuss racial identity processing groups as an intervention with social service professionals and present preliminary descriptive results from a piloted intervention designed to reduce racial bias. The intervention addresses racism through psychoeducation and group processing. Differences in pre to post-results will be analyzed and presented.

Learning Objectives:

Learn about racial identity processing groups, what they are, how they are structured, and the major differences between racial identity processing groups and training regarding race and anti-racism.
Experience an exercise conducted as part of racial identity processing.
Discuss the qualitative and quantitative findings associated with the evaluation of racial identity processing groups.
