Jessica Coleman is a highly motivated PhD student at the University of Minnesota, whose research focuses on addressing the disportionality and disparities that impact Black women and children involved in the child welfare system. She currently serves as a research assistant within the Public Health and Social Work Departments at the University of Minnesota. Prior to her academic pursuits, Jessica gained vast experience in the social services sector, having worked as a child protection supervisor, child services worker, mental health therapist, and in various other related areas.
