This panel will discuss a five-year initiative to decolonize social work through the integration of equity, inclusion, and justice into social work education. Panelists will review curricular revisions, learning communities, mandatory anti-racism modules, pedagogical supports, hiring, student voice, and policy changes.. Strengths and challenges of this process will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to define the core concepts of decolonial and anti-oppressive social work practice
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify pedagogical, practice, and policy supports for amplifying equity, inclusion and justice at a school of social work
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the strengths, challenges, and opportunities around decolonizing social work and centering equity, inclusion, and justice in an educational institution.
