Julia DeAngelo is pursuing an MSW at Boston University School of Social Work, where she focuses on liberatory, anti-oppressive practice, research, and policy. After graduating with a BA in Sociology from Harvard, Julia worked as a DBT mental health counselor at McLean Hospital and as a public health researcher. At BUSSW, she is a Research Assistant for Equity & Inclusion and a Graduate Research Fellow at the Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health. She intends for her research, direct practice, and program design to center the voices of individuals and communities in the decisions that affect their lives.
