Andrew Alvey, MSSW is a Policy & Advocacy Analyst at Kentucky Youth Advocates, specializing in child welfare policy. In his role, he utilized skills in patient care, conflict resolution, and therapeutic intervention. His work ensured a therapeutic milieu within the hospital setting, providing leadership and guidance to staff and fostering an environment where patient needs were met with empathy and expertise. While pursuing his master's degree, he completed a generalist practicum as a mental health therapist and a specialized practicum as a policy and research analyst, gaining comprehensive experience in micro, mezzo, and macro practice areas.
