Veronica Timbers, PhD, LCSW, MDIV (she/they) is an Assistant Professor in the University of Utah College of Social Work. She completed her Ph.D. at the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University in Spring 2023 with a focus in social work and clinical practice with trans and gender expansive clients in Appalachia. She has taught social work in higher education for a total of 10 years and has 16 years of clinical practice experience. Alongside teaching, she currently provides clinical supervision and provides trainings on clinical practice at the intersection of LGBTQIA+ identity and religion. In addition to her social work education, Veronica also has a Master of Divinity degree, which she uses in research, teaching, and advocacy to support the ethical integration of religion and spirituality in clinical practice and policy change.
