Renee M. Rawcliffe, LMSW (she/her/hers)

Renee is a social worker doctoral student, an adjunct faculty member, and the Director of Continuing Education and Professional Development at Adelphi University's School of Social Work. Renee's research interests include social work and disasters, eco-social work, and online pedagogy and education. Renee earned her BA from the University of Massachusetts, majoring in women’s studies and anthropology, and her MSW from Fordham University, with a concentration in Clinical Social Work with Children and Families. She is currently a 4th year PhD Student at Adelphi University, finishing her dissertation proposal. Her research explores the lived experiences of social workers in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, and the unique contributions social workers bring to the field of emergency management.
