Dr. Maldonado Moore is a full Professor in the Facundo Valdez School of Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University. She is also the co-founder and serves as the co-chair for the President’s Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She received her MSW from the University of Utah and her PhD from Cornell University (2002) with a concentration in Planning & Evaluation, College of Human Ecology and a minor in American Indian Studies. Dr. Moore is also a licensed social worker with an emphasis in community health prevention and intervention programs. She has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses across the curriculum with an emphasis on community-based research, crisis intervention and macro practice courses. She has more than 20 years of practice experience in community-based development and organizing. Her publications include interprofessional education; health care delivery; strategic planning processes; cultural competency; and, equity and inclusion praxis.
