Koa Beck has recently graduated from the University of Washington with a Masters of Social Work degree. She is currently a Research Study Assistant for the University of Washington School of Social Work. She is also a Data Sovereignty Specialist for Hummingbird Indigenous Family Services in Seattle, Washington. In addition, Koa is part of the Pilimakua Home Visiting Curriculum Development team for Indigenous families under Hummingbird Indigenous Family Services. As a mixed Pasifika Indigenous person, Koa's practice is dedicated to centering an Indigenous lens within the realms of social work. She is interested in pursuing alternative modalities of therapeutic interventions with Indigenous groups, decolonial practice, and forensic social work.
