Dr. Jaegoo Lee is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Jackson State University. She earned her master's degree in social work from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2006 and earned her Ph.D. in social work from the University of Georgia in 2012. Over 15 years, She has developed a series of research interests, including racial socialization among non-traditional families, adverse childhood experiences, violence, self-care, online education and evaluation, and technology and health disparities. She has published several journal articles in those areas. Recently, she has focused on cyberbullying victimization and its impact on psychosocial problems among racially and ethnically diverse college students. Currently, she is teaching graduate courses, including research methods, program evaluation, human behavior in the social environment, and social work education. She loves houseplants and flowers, and has over 30 houseplants. Caring houseplants is one of her self-care strategies. Other self-care strategies include having brunch with friends on Saturday, cooking Korean and Italian food, gardening, and walking in the park.
