First, we will provide an overview of the relationship between childhood adversity and generalized anxiety disorder. Second, we will propose the role of perceived social support and resilience as a mediator in such association among college students. Third, we will discuss relevant implications for social work education, research, and practice.

Participants will obtain the knowledge related to the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and generalized anxiety disorder.
Participants will gain information about the role of perceived social support and resilience.
Participants will have an opportunity to discuss social support and resilience in relation to academic success and ultimately wellbeing.
