Dr. Saundra H. Starks, LCSW, Professor Emeritus of Social Work and past MSW Program Director at Western Kentucky University has over 45 years of social work practice experience which include teaching, research, consultation, supervision, and clinical practice. She has numerous presentations and publications in the areas of diversity, women’s issues, spirituality, mental health, supervision, cultural competency, mentoring, and leadership training. Her most recent Co-authored publication is Mentoring Women for Leadership: Empowering the next Generation published in 2021, a culmination of her life's work in this area. Dr. Starks also maintains a part time clinical practice in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
