Biography
Sangmi Kim is a doctoral student at the College of Social Work at the University of Tennessee. Her research focuses on resilience among isolated young people, particularly on how adversity influences suicidal ideation in adolescence. She is interested in how protective factors such as physical activity, mindfulness, and sleep enrichment may work together to reduce suicidal thoughts and enhance resilience. To advance evidence-based interventions, she employs a variety of research methods, including machine learning.
