This study explores how social work educators incorporate environmental justice competency into their curriculum. Further, it offers valuable insights into innovative pedagogical approaches and curriculum development strategies. Thus, the study informs future curriculum revisions and enhances the effectiveness of social work education in preparing students to address environmental issues.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, the participants will be able to gain insights into innovative pedagogical approaches and curriculum development strategies to address environmental justice competency.
  2. Upon completion, the participants will appreciate the various ongoing efforts in curriculum development to bring together environmental justice and social work practice.
  3. Upon completion, the participants will find actionable insights into enhancing the effectiveness of social work education in addressing environmental challenges and promoting environmental justice.
