Session: Navigating Urban Challenges: Housing Solutions and Social Vulnerability in Extreme Conditions

A Community Adaptation of the Rapid Rehousing Model: A Case Study

This paper presents the results of a mixed methods study using secondary state Housing Management Information System data and qualitative case study methods to examine the development, implementation, and outcomes of one innovative Rapid Rehousing Program and the lessons learned from community stakeholders, landlords, staff, and program participants.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe U.S Rapid Rehousing Program development, use, and goals.
  2. Examine the a) community-driven process of program development and implementation; and b) program experiences and housing outcomes reported by program participants.
  3. Assess and reflect on development and program approaches positively impacting housing participants' outcomes.
