This paper presentation explores the representation of minority faculty in social work education through secondary data analysis using the Statistics on Social Work Education in the United States from 2005 to 2021. The paper highlights the under and over-representation of various faculty racial groups compared to their student body counterparts.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Attendees will be able to identify specific faculty race groups in which over and under-representation exists. .
  2. Attendees will be able to explain events that may contribute to the under and over-representation of certain faculty racial groups.
  3. Attendees will be able to infer potential impacts on student learning associated with the under-representation of minority faculty groups.
