This project combined the concepts of holistic liberatory practices and the more traditional framework of Bloom's taxonomy into a student-led self-care project. The project's purpose was to center the importance of teaching future social workers self-care practices while fostering an active learning environment that created community and peer support.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the necessity of social work students learning self-care tools and knowledge prior to entering the field.
Learn alternative non-traditional methods of engaging within academic settings by prioritizing engaged pedagogy.
Recognize and define the concepts of engaged pedagogy and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
