A Scoping Review of Stigma Against Persons With HIV/AIDS in Ghana

The literature on HIV/AIDS stigma in Ghana is mapped out in this scoping review, which also identifies gaps and solutions to help impacted persons and caregivers. It also reveals how HIV related stigma impacts prevention, care, and treatment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize how stigma around HIV/AIDS affects people and healthcare in Ghana.
  2. Determine the main points and areas lacking in the literature on HIV/AIDS stigma in Ghana.
  3. Acknowledge the significance of community-based initiatives in lowering stigma associated with HIV/AIDS and enhancing patient outcomes.
