Factors Influencing Gastric Cancer Screening Among Korean American Elders

This research explored the roles of predisposing, need, and enabling factors in gastric cancer screening among 120 Korean American elders. Utilizing hierarchical regression, we found that predisposing factors (married status and being female) and enabling factors (English proficiency and social support from friends) promoted gastric cancer screening practices.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will recognize the significant need to understand the roles of predisposing and enabling factors in gastric cancer screening among Korean American elders.
  2. Participants will gain insights into the important factors influencing gastric cancer screening among Korean American Elders.
  3. Participants will learn predisposing, need, and enabling factors influencing gastric cancer screening among Korean American Elders.
