Podcasts as a Tool in Social Work Education

Social justice is a key value in social work, and requires that social workers seek social change on behalf of vulnerable individuals and groups. This interactive activity will explain how student-produced podcasts can be used to promote social work ethical principles in the context of indigenous knowledge and environmental justice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. To understand how podcasts are currently used in social work education.
  2. To understand how podcasts can facilitate classroom discussion at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral level of social work education.
  3. To demonstrate how podcasts can promote social work ethical principles in the context of indigenous knowledge and environmental justice.
