This workshop will review the Committee on Environmental Justice's contributions, committee member's work on environmental justice, allyship/accompliceship with Indigenous Peoples and communities of color who are most impacted by environmental degradation, and our charge going forward. Participants will be invited to share their stories of work for environmental justice.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss the history of the Committee on Environmental Justice and the transition to the Council on Environmental Justice and Human Rights.
Articulate a range of actions taken by Indigenous people and communities of color to mitigate the impact of environment degradation.
Apply workshop knowledge and skills for environmental justice in their own communities.
