This study explored the roles of depression, coping skills, and social support on life satisfaction among 316 older adults in assisted living. Hierarchical regression revealed that depression and avoidance coping were significant factors decreasing life satisfaction. Social support from friends, perceived health, and age were significant factors increasing life satisfaction.

Participants will identify the roles of depression, coping skills, and social support on life satisfaction among 316 older adults in assisted living.
Participants will understand the importance of assessing depression and providing appropriate mental health services (such as counseling and therapy) to enhance life satisfaction.
