The proposal provides instructions and overview for the development of a new course in the field of political social work. Specifically utilizing an anti-oppressive pedagogy and an inclusive and learner-center course design, the course will deconstruct and decolonize the process to run for political office.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, the participant will be able to apply anti-oppressive pedagogy to the development of political social work curriculum.
Upon completion, the participant will demonstrate the ability to identify and challenge with a learner-centered approach, colonial and Eurocentric practices in the electoral process.
Upon completion, the participant will demonstrate the ability to develop formative and summative assessments and evaluations of assignments using anti-oppressive pedagogy practices.
