Dr. Sibyl Beaulieu has been a social worker since 1991. Dr. Beaulieu obtained her undergraduate degree at Oakwood University in Alabama, her graduate degree from Loma Linda University in California and her doctorate from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Dr. Beaulieu’s practice experiences include a variety of areas and positions, including practice in child protective services, child welfare consultant and trainer for the State of Alabama and Tennessee; geriatric therapist; clinical counselor, program director for Family Services, parenting and visitation mediation specialist for the Madison County Family Courts, Alabama; adjunct faculty for Oakwood University department of social work, fulltime faculty and community educator with Southern Adventist University in Tennessee, director of field education for La Sierra University, CA, adjunct at Loma Linda University, CA and her current position at UMass Global, a non-for-profit, fully accredited and fully online University. Dr.Beaulieu has been the Director of Practicum Education at UMass Global's social work department for the past 10 years, overseeing the BASW and MSW practicum divisions. Dr. Beaulieu has worked as an online professor since 2014 and has successfully built the online practicum program from the ground up, She is passionate about practicum education and mentoring and training practicum administrators. She is an avid traveler, enjoys cooking global cuisine and engaging in the diverse cultures she is privileged to experience as she travels.
