Mayra L. Lopez-Humphreys, PhD (she/her/hers)

Dr. Lopez-Humphreys is an Associate Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work. Her areas of expertise include:
Restorative approaches with justice-impacted populations
Community-led interventions with minoritized and historically marginalized communities
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and pedagogical models in social work education
Currently, she serves as the principal investigator in an academic-community partnership with an East Harlem non-profit, on a research project that examines peer-mentoring interventions with justice-involved youth and adults.
