Anthony Abshire is a PhD student at the University of Alabama School of Social work. Anthony's research interests focus on trauma, systems, and identity formation. Anthony's years of direct service and lived experience made him interested in how to better train and prepare future social workers to work in child protective services and how to engage with service recipients.
