Briana Riley, LMSW (she/her/hers)

Briana Riley earned a MSW in 2015 from the University of Texas at Arlington and is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Social Sciences and Historical Studies at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. Her practice experience has primarily been in medical settings, with emphasis in acute hospitalization burn and trauma intensive care. She has instructed in social worker higher education for five years. Briana also has years of experience and expertise in animal sheltering. Her research interests include behavioral science, influence of socioeconomic conditions on human-non-human animal interaction and relationship, One Welfare, economic inequality, environmental inequality, and social work in animal sheltering.
