Angel is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She has served as a therapist in residential, hospital, outpatient, school, and community-based settings. Angel believes in providing service to others in a warm, nonjudgmental environment. She is passionate about mental health education. Angel has extensive experience providing training and mentoring to other therapists.
Currently, Angel is a lecturer in the department of Social Work at Indiana University, Indianapolis. She serves as the Co-chair of the Diversity Council. Her style of teaching is holistic, compassionate, and supportive. Angel’s approach to teaching is strength-based so others will be empowered to serve the community. Angel is committed to serving marginalized populations and mentoring young people She is committed to educating others on the importance of social justice.
Angel believes in empowering individuals and communities so they can draw on their strengths to overcome obstacles and thrive. Her greatest reward is helping others explore ways in which to look forward to the future with hope.
