Sandra Leotti is an Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Wyoming. Sandy received her MSW from the University of Montana and her Ph.D. from Portland State University. She has over a decade of direct practice experience in the areas of mental health, disability, and youth development. Her research pursues two overlapping arenas: examining social work’s role in upholding systems of injustice and the study of contemporary issues pertaining to the carceral state. A primary goal of her scholarship is to advance community-based, non-carceral approaches to addressing harm and need.
