Ashleigh Washington is a social worker dedicated to social justice for women of color. Since 2005, she has led practice in nonprofits, government, and academia. In New York City, she has worked to address the needs of people living with HIV, family violence, and with young parents in New York City schools. Ashleigh holds a bachelor’s in social work from Prairie View A&M University in Texas, a master’s in social work from Columbia University, and she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the social welfare program at the City University of New York. Her research is focused on the intersection of racism, family policing system, and technology.
