Christi Perry, PhD, LCSW

Dr. Christi Perry (BSSW Program Director and Professor) received her Ph.D. from University of Georgia in Social Work and her M.S.W. from Georgia State University. With a passion for social work, Dr. Perry brings a wide array of professional experience from serving in Atlanta, Georgia in the forensic settings including Family and Veteran Drug courts and mental health counseling in community behavioral health and the Fulton County school system. Dr. Perry holds her certification as a LCSW and continues to serve individual and families in private clinical practice. Dr. Perry’s research on the benefits of mindfulness-based interventions is of particular interest and the desire to bring the knowledge and practice to students. Dr. Perry is actively involved in course development and new program initiatives to ensure students receive the highest quality instruction and social work education in becoming well-rounded professionals.
