Katherine Maurer PhD LMSW is an Associate Professor in the McGill School of Social Work. They obtained a PhD in Clinical Social Work at New York University Silver School of Social Work and practiced in New York City as a trauma therapist and clinical social worker with diverse marginalized populations. They are committed to challenging systemic oppression, racism, and promoting trauma-informed care in research and practice with adults and youth experiencing family violence, people experiencing homelessness, and within service provision systems.
