Matthew Knight is a second-year Ph.D. student in Social Work at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a research assistant at the Center for Veterinary Social Work. His research focuses on promoting the human-animal bond among military veterans and their families. Prior to his doctoral studies, Matthew accumulated nearly ten years of military-related service, between serving as an infantryman in the U.S. Army and as a Veterans Education Liaison in higher education.
