Deja Williams, Esq., MSW, is a Clinical Assistant Faculty for the Online MSW Program at the School of Social Work, University of Montana. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
Deja earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Spring Arbor University and her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Michigan. She earned her Juris Doctorate from George Washington University School of Law in Spring 2023. Deja has been a social worker for nearly a decade. She started her career as a medical social worker in one of Michigan's largest hospitals and then spent time as a community-based therapist.
Deja serves on the Board of Directors of MyPlace Jackson, a nonprofit residential organization that seeks to reduce the risk of exploitation to young women by providing safe, affordable housing. She joined the University of Montana in 2023 as a Clinical Assistant Faculty Professor. Deja loves teaching, working with students, and learning alongside the class.
