Rachel Ross has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Practice at the College of Social Work since August 2022. Her responsibilities include providing students with instruction and guidance in practicum settings, and co-leading a project that implements four online simulations for first-year master's students. Prior to her current teaching role, Rachel was the Program Coordinator at Vine School Health Center, which operates within the Knox County School System. There, she oversaw the center's daily operations and provided mental health counseling to children ages 2-18 years old. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, holding a Master's degree in Social Work. In 2019, Rachel obtained her Play Therapy Supervisor certification and currently serves on the board of the TN Play Therapy Association.
Brittany Adams has been a part of the College of Social Work since 2014 serving as a Field Instructor and Field Liaison for the BSSW and MSSW programs. In June 2020, she became the Online BSSW Field Coordinator. This position includes various roles such as administering the undergraduate practicum and its congruence with the overall curriculum, mentoring and advising BSSW students in degree completion and professional development, cultivating and sustaining relationships with community agencies. Prior to coming to the University of Tennessee, Brittany worked over seven years at the Community Alternatives to Prison Program as their Mental Health Program Specialist where she provided individual therapy and group therapy to felony offenders with substance abuse issues.
