Jama Shelton is an Associate Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work, Hunter College and the Associate Director of the Silberman Center for Sexuality and Gender. Their scholarship is informed by decades of collaboration with queer and trans young people navigating housing precarity, with a focus on counternarratives and identifying/addressing systemic barriers rooted in cis/heterosexism that limit equitable access to housing for all.
