Dr. Hartinger-Saunders, an Associate Professor at Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and School of Social Work, serves as the Principal Investigator and Program Director of the Title IV-E Child Welfare Education and Training Program. With over 30 years of experience in child welfare, including 11 years in public child welfare practice, her research focuses on multi-level factors affecting child welfare outcomes. Utilizing an intersectional lens, she examines how various factors such as race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation impact the experiences and trajectories of children and youth, considering the interconnected systems of oppression and discrimination.
