Mbita Mbao, PhD., LICSW, is an Assistant Professor at Salem State University, United States. Her scholarly agenda centers around the intersectionality of aging and disability, behavioral health, Immigrant health and aging workforce development. She is a 2021 Gerontology Society of America Mentoring and Career Development Technical Assistance Workshop Early Career Diversity Fellow. Dr. Mbao received her BSW from Bowling Green State University, her MSW from Rhode Island College, and her Ph.D. from Simmons University. Dr. Mbao is licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker.
