Kasandra Dodd, MSW, LICSW, LCSW, CPM, is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the School of Social Work at the University of Georgia. She is an awardee of the Southern Regional Board Education-SREB Dissertation Fellowship and the UGA Phelps-Stokes Graduate Fellowship. Her research interest involves child welfare reform related to human trafficking within the foster care system and the impact of leadership and management on permanency and retention outcomes in child welfare. Ms. Dodd has sixteen years of child welfare experience where she acquired a wealth of knowledge as a case-carrying social worker, diagnostic therapist, Independent Living Specialist, CFSA Aftercare Program Coordinator, and managing supervisor. Further, she influenced the development of various older youth initiatives through multiple workgroups and committees. She is a licensed clinical social worker and maintains licensure in Georgia and the District of Columbia.
