Dr. Sevaughn Banks brings a distinguished global perspective to her extensive career, recently serving as a visiting Scholar at the University of Ghana, and ghost writer with publications in a Ghanaian newspaper. Dr. Banks is a workforce development expert in Ghana and Liberia. The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) recognized Dr. Banks’ talent by awarding her the Katherine A. Kendall Institute for International Social Work Education grant. Dr. Banks's leadership led to her social work department’s inaugural faculty led study abroad to Ghana. Her scholastic expertise includes book chapters centering Anti-oppressive and Antiracist Strategies in human services and establishing Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) in Africa. With over two decades of practical experience in social work, Dr. Banks’s accomplishments extend to include publications in peer refereed journals and secured grants, coupled with over thirty professional presentations at national and international conferences. Her experience underscores her commitment to advancing social work practices across borders, making her an esteemed figure in the global social work community and a catalyst for positive change worldwide.
