Dr. Katharine Carter earned her PhD at The Catholic University of America. Her research interests are social welfare policy and school social work. Her dissertation examined the role that historical trauma plays in the effectiveness of trauma-informed discipline practices in public schools.
She currently is a Professor of Research and Writing at the George Washington University and an adjunct faculty member at The Catholic University of America, where she teaches Foundations of Multilevel Social Work in the MSW program, and Social Work Research and Statistics in the BSW program.
