Bruce D, Friedman is a Professor at The University of Texas at El Paso. He is a past president of the Network for Social Work Management and the author of a number of articles about management and leadership. He has the chapter in Ginsberg's Management book. He earned his MSW from the Brown School at Washington University and his PhD from Mandel School at Case Western Reserve University. He was an executive director of the Northwest Suburban JCC and has held faculty appointments including department chair and BSW director at Southern Connecticut, Wayne State, University of Texas Pan American, California State University Bakersfield, and the current position in El Paso. He is also the principle investigator for the Title IV-E project. He is the author of a number of books including: The Research ToolKit, Community-Based Participatory Research, How to Teach Effectively, and the Ecological Perspectives Cook Book.
