Kate Glynn (she/her), Research and Policy Advisor with Reproductive Equity Now, is a macro social worker focused on policy and advocacy for reproductive justice. Kate was awarded the 2024 Boston University School of Social Work Dean’s Award for Leadership in Social Work for her work including co-writing the Reproductive Justice and Social Work course now offered as part of the permanent curriculum. She first joined REN as a social work intern where she helped update and expand REN’s Abortion Care Guide, a searchable patient-centered guide to abortion care throughout New England. Kate has volunteered with the Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts for over 9 years, including 3 years as co-chair of the Board of Directors and before that, as co-coordinator and supervisor for the volunteers who answer the warm line for abortion seekers reaching out for financial help.
Before returning to school to get her MSW, Kate owned two baby and children’s stores and sat on the board of Directors for the United Way of Hampshire County, the Northampton Business Improvement District, and the Northampton Area Young Professionals.
