Greer Hamilton, PhD is an assistant professor the University of Michigan School of Social Work where she is focused on examining how systems of oppression impact the design and function of urban built environments (e.g., public parks, neighborhoods, transportation), as well as how urban built environments subsequently impact people’s health (e.g., air pollution), well-being, sense of belonging, and use of public spaces. Her research uses community-engaged and arts-based approaches to understand place-based experiences.
