Dr. Mary Montminy-Danna is currently a professor and chair of the undergraduate Social Work Department at Salve Regina University in Newport RI. She has held appointments at the university for 36 years during which time she has also served in the capacity of associate professor and field coordinator. She teaches social welfare policy and international social work courses, facilitates internship seminars, and oversees the construction of CSWE competency-based portfolios. Her areas of interests and research include advocacy, mentoring, curriculum development, intimate family violence, women’s health, refugee resettlement and global community engagement. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Rhode Island.
