Amy Roberts, FGSA, MSW, LSW, FGSA is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Miami University. She is a Research Fellow at the Scripps Gerontology Center, and a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America. Since joining the faculty at Miami University in 2013, Amy has led research in gerontological social work to improve the quality of life of older adults, particularly within long-term care settings, and she was awarded the Rose Dobrof Award from the Association of Gerontology Education in Social Work for the best article in 2021 published in the Journal of Gerontological Social Work. International social work is also an area of her scholarly interests. She recently published a co-edited book with Dr. M. C. "Terry" Hokenstad, Jr., titled: "Lessons from abroad: Adopting international social welfare innovations" in 2022 with NASW Press, which examines innovative social policy and program models from other countries that could inform policies and program development in the United States. Dr. Roberts currently serves on CSWE's Commission on Global Social Work Education.
