Jenny Lamb is a dedicated Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) and lecturer at Washburn University. With experience in various domains of social work, Jenny specializes in teaching within the clinical graduate program. Throughout her career, Jenny has demonstrated expertise across multiple areas of social work practice. Her background includes work in inpatient mental health settings with clients across the lifespan, intensive outpatient group work, and medical social work. Jenny's passion for serving older adults is evident in her clinical work, where she has dedicated herself to improving the lives of this vulnerable population. Jenny has also assumed administrative leadership roles, contributing to the strategic direction and operational success of a large continuing care retirement community where she developed a multidimensional wellness program and advocated for shared wellness experiences for both employees and consumers.
In addition to her roles in academia and institutional practice, Jenny maintains a unique telehealth private practice, serving individuals and couples many of whom are underinsured. Her innovative approach to delivering care reflects her adaptability and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of her community. Jenny’s scholarly interests include understanding the self-care experiences of students and professional social workers.
