Brenda Sweeten, MSSW, LCSW is a Clinical Professor and the Director of Field Education in the Department of Social Work at the University of North Texas. She has twenty-nine years of experience, practicing primarily as an advocate in the child welfare system, and serves as the university's foster care liaison. She is engaged in the local and statewide community serving on a number of boards and advisory councils including Education Reach for Texans, a statewide non-profit that brings together higher education and child welfare professionals to share ideas, generate original research, and provide training and support dedicated to helping former foster youth succeed in post-secondary education.
