Christy is an assistant professor in the School of Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State University. She has a private counseling practice in Longview, Texas and provides clinical supervision to LMSWs. She is a trained yoga instructor and integrates mindfulness practices into most of her life (personal and professional). Her research interests also include trauma stewardship and teaching critical thinking and reflection. She has recently enrolled in a DSW program and is excited to explore more professional growth.
