Ga-Young Choi, PhD, MSW is Professor at California Stat University, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on the wellbeing of Korean and Asian Americans, particularly on their health behaviors and behavioral/mental health needs. Another area of her research includes intimate partner violence (IPV) and violence/maltreatment in college students and Asian Americans. Secondary traumatic stress of helping professionals who work with IPV survivors, especially in organizational context, also has been her core research interests.
